Washingtonia began with a simple belief: Al Khor deserved a place of its own – somewhere to meet, slow down, and feel at home.

Our Beginning
It started with Al Khor.
Before there was a building, a roastery, or a menu, there was an idea rooted in our hometown.
We wanted to create the kind of place we had always hoped to find here: independent, thoughtful, and generous. A place where neighbours cross paths, families settle in, and a quick coffee can become an unhurried afternoon.
Washingtonia opened in 2026, but its story began years earlier – with patience, a deep attachment to Al Khor, and the conviction that the best places feel as though they belong exactly where they are.

The Place
Designed to be lived in.
The building was not made simply to be looked at. It was made to be used.
Raw concrete, warm timber, open spaces and shifting daylight give the space its character. Inside, there are quiet corners and shared tables. Outside, the terrace opens toward the sea. Every part of Washingtonia invites a different rhythm: reading alone, breakfast with family, conversation with friends, or a pause on the way through town.
The architecture is distinctive, but the feeling is uncomplicated: come in, find your place, and stay awhile.

Our Craft
Coffee, with purpose.
Coffee is at the heart of what we do. We roast in-house, work with coffees from distinct origins, and prepare each cup with care – from espresso to single-origin V60.
For us, craft is not performance. It is the quiet work behind consistency: tasting, adjusting, learning, and making the next cup as considered as the first.
Our roastery is also part of what comes next. Washingtonia is growing beyond the coffee house, with an ambition to share coffee roasted in Al Khor with more homes and businesses across Qatar.

Breakfasts that run into lunch. Fresh baking beside a first coffee. Seasonal drinks, familiar favourites, and tables made to be shared. Our food is generous, approachable, and built for the way people actually spend time here.
